Red Osier Dogwood – Recognized for its bright red winter stems, this shrub offers year-round interest and excellent cover and food for wildlife. Red-osier dogwood is useful for controlling erosion along stream banks.
Choke Cherry – Tolerates a wide range of soil conditions. Fragrant spring blooms are followed by dark berries enjoyed by wildlife.
American Plum – Spreading, thicket-forming shrub or small tree with showy white flowers and edible fruit that supports birds and pollinators.
