We had the best last day together! We spent the entire morning enjoying the sunshine on Fox Den Trail. We searched high and low for the coolest rocks we could find, including fossils like Petoskey Stones. In the muddy bank along the Boardman River, we noticed that a hoofed visitor had stopped by for a drink of water before us! As we were “fishing” for leaves with our stick poles, we noticed that when the mud at the bottom of the river was stirred up, it looked like smoke in the water. Some of us crafted boats out of sticks and bark and released them down the river when it was time to head back to the pavilion. We predicted which one would make it the farthest, but the river swept them away so quickly, they were all out of sight before we could keep track of them all!
