Forest Forensics (Introductory Webinar)

Description: Forest forensics is the art and science of using landscape features to learn more about the history of an area. Nearly every hill, pile of rocks or clearing tells us a story of past events - if we pay attention!

Start your forest forensics adventure with an exploration of Brown Bridge Quiet Area! In partnership with MSU Extension educator, Julie Crick, we will learn what stories this site has to share, through a combination of virtual and in-person experiences.

Learn about the concept of forest forensics and receive an overview of the history hike in an Introductory Webinar on Wednesday, October 18th from 6:00 - 7:00pm.

Then, join us in-person at Brown Bridge Quiet Area for a History Hike field experience on Saturday, November 4th, from 9:00 - 11:00am. Meet at the East Overlook trailhead. Location details will be emailed to registered participants.

Can’t make the webinar? No problem! Registration for the History Hike will continue to be available after the introductory webinar.

When: Wednesday, October 18th, 2023 from 6:00 - 7:00pm (Introductory webinar)
