Joe is a Eastern Mid-Michigan native. After a childhood spent in the woods, he moved to Grand Rapids for a degree in Illustration. While art will always be a passion, his love for nature became his career of choice, and he moved to Northern Michigan to pursue work in conservation.
Along the way, Joe gained varied and valuable experience in CNC machining, landscaping, construction, trail maintenance, and even wine making. Now you can find him on the Boardman River Nature Center grounds or its surrounding trails immersed in a project.
In his free time Joe enjoys staying busy with one of his many hobbies or finding a new one!
