DID YOU KNOW?
Dutch elm disease, first discovered in the United States in the 1930’s (Michigan in the 1950’s), is an invasive fungal disease thought to have originated in Asia. The disease was able to spread quickly and cause a significant amount of damage partly because management efforts were put on hold during WWII.
