Jenn grew up in southern Michigan, along the headwaters of the Grand River, and spent her summer months visiting family in Traverse City. She moved to the area permanently in 2019, deepening her connection to the region’s natural beauty.
Her fascination with the natural world led her to earn an Associate in Science and Arts degree in Biology from Northwestern Michigan College, and she is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Integrative Studies with a minor in Environmental and Sustainability Studies at Grand Valley State University. Over the past two summers, Jenn worked at GTCD as a Nature Day Camp Specialist- inspiring children to connect with the outdoors and gaining valuable experience in environmental education. She is excited to now join the district full-time, where she can continue her work in fostering a love for the natural world.
Outside of work, Jenn enjoys hiking, fishing, kayaking, and playing disc golf. She is also a passionate animal lover and shares her home with her chocolate lab, Piper, and two cats, Ferd and Lou.
