The Grand Traverse Conservation District and MAEAP in partnership with the Grand Traverse Fruit Growers Council and Michigan Farm Bureau are offering a FREE recycling collection of old or unwanted large agricultural equipment tires and tractor tires at the Traverse Bay Area Career Tech Center.
In order to allow as many producers to utilize this service, pre-registration is required, and there is a 40-tire maximum. Only tires from large equipment and tractors for agricultural production will be accepted.
Please note in the section asking for approximate sizes of tires (or the comments section) if you have more than 40 tires and we will contact you directly if we think we will be able to fit more than 40 for you (this will depend on how many tires and their sizes are registered for the event).
Location: Traverse Bay Area Career Tech Center
Registration: Please click here to register.
We are only accepting large tires that aren't able to be recycled easily elsewhere. If you have regular-sized truck or car tires that you'd like to recycle, please contact RecycleSmart at (231) 941-5555 for information on recycling passenger vehicle tires.
Please direct any questions to Lauren Silver at lsilver@gtcd.org or 231-941-0960 ext. 22; cell: 989-464-1335.
This event is made possible due to generous donations from the Grand Traverse Fruit Grower's Council, Antrim County Farm Bureau, and the Northwest Michigan County Farm Bureau and partnership with the Traverse Bay Area Career Tech Center.
