Description: A bioblitz is a communal citizen-science effort to record as many species as possible within a designated location and time period. This is a great way to connect to the environment while generating useful data for science and conservation. It is also a way for naturalists, scientists, and curious members of the public to meet in person in the great outdoors!
This year’s bioblitz will be held at the Natural Education Reserve.
Bioblitz Schedule:
Throughout the day, we’ll have guided walks and exploration time to identify and document the variety of species whether it be birds, trees, wildflowers and much more. All data collected will be shared on iNaturalist as part of the 2023 Bioblitz project.. Meet at the Boardman River Nature Center. Dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes for hiking.
