Description: Project Learning Tree's (PLT) professional development helps educators learn how to integrate environmental education into their teaching and become comfortable teaching outdoors—in urban, suburban, and rural environments. Workshops teach educators how best to use PLT’s instructional materials with their own audiences in their own setting and how to engage with (and draw upon) their community in learning about and taking action to address local environmental issues.

Continuing education credits (SCECH's) are available. All educators are welcome (formal and non-formal). Participants do not need to be K-8 educators to participate.

This workshop will feature the Explore Your Environment: K-8 Activity Guide which offers educators a wide variety of engaging, hands-on activities organized into grade bands: K-2, 3-5, and 6-8. Many activities also suggest variations for doing the activity with a different grade level or audience.
