Come celebrate community resilience with other local growers, producers, farmers, and seed savers! This community seed swap, in partnership with local seed saving farm, Poesis Farm, is a great opportunity to safely interact with other growers in the region while swapping stories, seeds, and gardening tips.
This event is outdoors at the Boardman River Nature Center in the pavilion. Please dress warm. We ask that you wear a mask at all times and properly social distance.
If you wish to participate you must pre-register for an hour block (you do not have to be there the whole hour). Time slots are limited and are on a first come, first served basis. Individuals will be required to sign-in with their name and phone number when they arrive.
Registration: please click here.
Please bring whatever seeds you have that you would like to share. Ultimately, if you come with no seeds to swap, you will still have an opportunity to take some home!
We will have pens, markers, spoons, a seed sorting machine, and seed envelopes to make packaging and distributing seeds easy. Hand sanitizer and other cleaning materials will be provided.
Please do not bring invasive species. All seeds brought to the event will be reviewed by staff to make sure they comply with our standards. Native flower seeds are encouraged. Remember, we want to create native habitats, not destroy them!
Happy Gardening!
