Located on the west side of Traverse City, this 112.5-acre property features several miles of trails and a groomed ski trail. Paths meander through meadows and upland forests to enjoy skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, and dog walking. In November of 2004, the City of Traverse City and Charter Township of Garfield Recreational Authority purchased this property through a millage campaign. The public voted overwhelmingly to purchase this property in order to provide open space, scenic view preservation, wildlife habitat, and natural areas.
