A native of Boyne City, Parker has recently returned to Northern Michigan where he feels most at home. Having grown up on Lake Charlevoix, he has always felt deeply connected to the freshwater lakes and ecosystems that make up the NW Michigan region. In turn, he has devoted his professional life to protecting our natural resources and working towards ensuring best land-use practices for a more resilient future.

Parker graduated from Northern Michigan University with a B.S. in Environmental Conservation and a minor in Alternative Energies. Prior to graduation, he worked as a field technician with the Great Lakes Energy Co-op in the Vegetation Management department.
