August 16th – Macro Invertebrate Mania

Insect Investigators Friday Blog 1 Insect Investigators Friday Blog 2

Hello Grown Ups!

On our last day of camp, we learned about macro invertebrates, which are bugs that don’t have a backbone and can be seen without a microscope or magnifying glass. We adventured down to Jack’s Creek and tested to see if the water was healthy or unhealthy by catching the macro invertebrates who live there. We ended the day by creating dragonfly larva rockets which we shot into the sky in celebration of the completion of Insect Investigators Nature Camp!

We hope to see you at the Nature Center again soon!
