Seedling Planting Workshop

March 6 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

FREE
Did you know GTCD’s spring Seedling Sale only sells native trees and shrubs? These hardy habitat heroes do a great job of thriving in our area while feeding birds and pollinators. They also make the perfect replacements to help stop the re-invasion of invasive species after you’ve gone to all the trouble of removing them!
This workshop has an emphasis on invasive species removal techniques with and without the use of chemicals. GTCD staff, including District Forester Kama Ross, Invasive Species Network Coordinator Katie Grzesiak, and Parklands Steward Reb Ratliff, will provide you with the knowledge and recommendations you need to make successful choices for native plants, especially to replace invasives.  There will also be an opportunity to pre-order native tree and shrub seedlings.  This workshop is free of charge and seating is limited, so it’s highly recommended to register!
