January 29th-Who’s Shadow is That?

Hi Grown-ups!

Today we learned about Groundhogs and shadows. We read a winter story, made our own groundhog puppets, ate groundhog cupcakes and took a hike outside. One of our favorite things was playing in the snowy sensory table with the animals and tree branches. Before our hike we played a really fun game of sleepy groundhog hide and seek and had a blast running around in the heavy, deep snow.

Next week we will be discovering Michigan’s winter birds through story time, crafts, and games. The best place to see birds is outside so we will be spending time sneaking around to watch the birds in the snow! Wear your outdoor gear and get ready to use your bird eyes!

See you next Tuesday!
