Tammy Durfee joins the GTCD as Development Coordinator. Her experience includes fundraising, event planning and membership development – most recently with the Girl Scouts of Michigan Shore to Shore, the American Heart Association and the Traverse City Area Chamber of Commerce.
Tammy spent summers on (Big) Glen Lake since childhood, and has lived in Traverse City for 15 years. Her appreciation of the natural world stems from her experiences in the woods and water. She enjoys hiking, traveling regionally, trying to learn Spanish, volunteering in the community, being walked by her Great Dane and organizing- anything!
She is a member of the Northern Michigan Association of Volunteer Administrators, the Elks Lodge 323, Girl Scouts USA, Northern Michigan Fund Development Professionals and the Association of Fund Development Professionals. In addition, she is certified with the Organizing Specialist Network and the Newcomers Welcome Service.
