July 16th, Rockin’ Rivers

Hello grown-ups!

Today was “Rockin’ River Day” and we had a blast! We made a huge river mural; we raced tree bark boats in Jack’s Creek, and had a cup of “sand” (yogurt and crushed animal crackers) for a snack! Your child should be able to tell you what animals live in or near rivers, what objects float the best in water and how we get sand.

Tomorrow is “Fish Frenzy!” day – we will learn all about the fish that live in this area including the life cycle of fish, fish identification, and even obstacles fish must overcome. We’re going to make some fabulous hats and play some of our favorite games. Tuesday is still a water based day so please include shoes that are okay to get wet with your camper as well as a water bottle and hat. As always, please apply sunscreen and bug spray ahead of time.

We’ll see you in the morning!
