March 15th – Yucky Worms

Hey Peepers!

Today we learned about slimy, wiggly, and very helpful worms. This week, we read Yucky Worms: Read and Wonder by Vivian French. We learned about the parts of a worm and how they help decompose animal and plant materials into compost for gardeners. We took a closer look at real worms and discovered how they move around. Outside, we turned over rocks to look for wiggly friends. We continued down our favorite trail to Jacks Creek.

Join us next week for Drip Drop Plop, where we will learn all about rain. Be prepared for a rainy day hike just in case!
