July 8th – Magnificent Mammals and Food Chains!

Wild Things Monday Blog 1

What a great first day of camp! Today, we learned all about mammals and what they eat while playing games, exploring the Nature Center gallery, and making fun crafts. Ask your camper about what makes a mammal a mammal and all the different types of food they eat. Despite the rain, we got to spend time outside – the rain even helped us create some cool, colorful flowers, which we’ll finish making tomorrow!

Tomorrow, we’ll learn about the places not only mammals, but all types of animals live, because it’s “Happy Habitats” day! We are excited to spend more time making crafts, playing games outside, and taking a hike to see (in person!) the types of habitats Michigan animals live in. We’ll explore the outdoors in rain or shine (unless there’s thunder or lightning!) so come prepared with a jacket and shoes that can get wet. Don’t forget a snack too!

See you tomorrow morning!
