Looking for a fun and engaging way to get outside? Look no further! The Boardman River Nature Center offers a full variety of programs to meet all your nature needs!
Teachers, you might be interested in our Nature Education for Students and Teachers (NEST) programs. These 2 and 1/2 hour programs are designed to connect your students to the natural world while helping teachers meet the State of Michigan’s Grade Level Content Expectations. Incorporating a NEST program into your curriculum can bring a meaningful context to your classroom curricula and help increase your students’ engagement and academic achievement.
Scholarships available (transportation and program).
Bringing a group that’s not a class? Interested in something not listed on our NEST page?
Then check out our Create-Your-Own Program! Create-Your-Own Program lets you decide what themes, group size, and time frame accommodates your needs best. Regardless of your selection, all of our programs are developed to create and foster connections to the natural world. This is the perfect option for scouts, youth groups, and other clubs and organizations.
Both NEST and Create-Your-Own programs benefit from the broad and diverse expertise of Grand Traverse Conservation District Staff and in doing so connect you and your students to the real world of natural resource conservation, environmental restoration and stewardship.
We look forward to working with you and providing your group with engaging and meaningful programs, that get everyone outside and having fun.
