Inspiring exploration, appreciation, and conservation of our natural world.

July 9th – Happy Habitats

Today was “Happy Habitats” day and we learned about the things all animals need in their habitat to survive. Then we became deer and ran to capture resources while dodging cars and hunters in the game “Oh Deer”! We ended the day with a long hike on the Sabin Pond Trail where we explored all sorts of animal habitats like grass fields, ponds, and marshes. Don’t forget to ask your campers to show you the Food Chain Cups and Rain Flowers we finished making too!

Tomorrow is “Bodacious Birds” day so come with rested eyes and ears because we’re going to look for birds with both our binoculars and with our listening ears! We are also going to learn about all the challenges migrating birds face during their long journeys in the Spring and Fall.

We’ll see you tomorrow!
