GTSI Mill Creek Elementary teachers and students gathered at the Pine Hollow Institute to display and sell their book entitled: Looking At the Past… Gazing Into the Future, A Journey Toward Stewardship. The book was published last spring and written by Mill Creek Elementary third and fourth grade students in 2012-13. Students were guided through this process by not only their teachers, but numerous community partners including local artist Joani Braun. On Saturday, September 13, the journey toward stewardship continued by sharing information about native plant species to guests visiting Pine Hallow as part of the Home and Cottage Tour in Traverse City.

Former Mill Creek Elementary students, now at Cherryland Middle School, display photos of classmates and student artwork, of which many are part of their published book.
