Today was a grand finale to our week of Nature Olympics! We spent the day learning all about fish. We made fish hats, went through an obstacle course pretending we were salmon, and best of all got to sample macro-invertebrates (fish food!) in Jack’s Creek. We ended the day by making and launching dragonfly rockets – it was super cool! The kids should know about the amazing adaptation that dragonfly nymphs have to protect themselves against predation.
Have a wonderful summer!
