July 18th, Fabulous Frogs

Hello Grown-ups!

Today was AWESOME! We learned so much about frogs and the frog life cycle! We got to see our resident Green Frogs eat some yummy worms, we made frog puppets, and compared our hopping lengths to those of different frogs . We played leap frog and went for a hike to look for frogs. We didn’t see any BUT we did find a turtle and a deer! It was really a great day!

Tomorrow we are learning all about “Magnificent Macro-Invertebrates!” This is a favorite day for most campers as we will spend a good portion of our day in Jack’s Creek with nets, jars, and trays collecting macro-invertebrates from the water! This means water shoes are essential for Thursday. The water is only ankle deep but the campers tend to get pretty muddy. Sunscreen and bug spray should be applied prior to camp if needed. We can’t wait to see you tomorrow!
