Erik Gruber first began his work promoting environmental stewardship when he organized a project building “green” stoves in a small coastal community in the Dominican Republic as a Peace Corps volunteer. The stove project aimed to slow the decimation of forests by reducing the amount of wood needed for cooking fires. After living two years on the Caribbean island, Erik and his wife Lisa decided to move from their hometown of Cincinnati to lovely Northern Michigan, where Erik’s family had been vacationing for years. Now a father of three (a boy and twin girls!), Erik is the principal for Sagemark Consulting in Traverse City where he runs a Family Office for business owner families. You may see Erik around town running, paddling, camping, hiking and just being dad.
