Dan Busby, Water Stewardship Program Coordinator

Dan graduated from Oscoda High School in 1990 and received a B.S. in Conservation Ecology from Northern Michigan University in Marquette, MI in 1996. Experience in Watershed Management with land use planning emphasis was gained working on the Chocolay Watershed Project in 1995-1996.

Post-graduate work includes working on various groundwater contamination sites in 1996-1997, Natural Gas Project Environmental Director-Wildlands Caretaker for the Lost Lake Wood Club in Lincoln, MI in 1997-1998, and Certified Wetlands Delineator for Northern Ecological Services in Reed City, MI in 1998-1999.

Dan is a Licensed Residential Builder since 1999 and owner of B&D Builders. He has been employed with the GTCD as NW Michigan Water Stewardship Program Coordinator since April 2000.

He enjoys hunting, fishing, biking, skiing (water, downhill, cross country,) gardening, building and remodeling, and spending time with family and friends.
