Hello Grown-Ups!

Today we talked about beneficial bugs! We received a visit from Harry and Honey Bee who told us all about bugs that are helpful to us by eating other bugs, pollinating or helping decompose our soils! We then looked very closely at worms! Boy! It was really fun! We then checked our bug traps and went on a hike. We saw a lot of beneficial bugs! Afterwards, we made really cool firefly bugs out of pop bottles and glow sticks!

Tomorrow we are learning about macro invertebrates! We will be hiking down to Jacks Creek to sample the stream and look for bugs! Make sure to wear or bring water shoes!

See you tomorrow!
