This week at Knee-High Naturalists we extended our bird lesson to focus on owls! Inside we read Owl Babies by Martin Wadell, then we learned all about the owls special traits that make them such great hunters. We even dissected real owl pellets in the classroom, and identified a taxidermy great horned owl! Outside we hiked to Jack’s Creek and built an owl nest in the trees.
Keep checking back every week to follow the Knee-High Naturalists on all of their adventures!
Have a happy Thanksgiving, Knee High Naturalists!
