10/27 Batty for Bats

This week our naturalists¬†uncovered the truth about bats: they’re actually not scary at all! We read Bats¬† by Gail Gibbons, and learned all about different bat species, and the roles bats play in nature. Inside we examined a real bat skeleton, and had snack with the turkey from the nature gallery. We took a hike through our wetlands, and discussed why bats might like to live there. At the end of the boardwalk we explored the cedar trees, and even climbed a couple!

Keep checking back every week to follow the Knee-High Naturalists on all of their adventures!
